Improved automation and flexibility with new translation management functionality

Visual improvements in the workflow editor: Introduced in 2020, the workflow editor saves significant time by enabling you to customize and automate your workflows easily. We have continued to develop and enhance the workflow editor in recent months, introducing several new functions and making visual refinements for our users.

Most notably, we have now introduced the option to edit outcomes in human workflow tasks. This functionality simplifies the user experience for administrators making it easier for them to manage workflows, particularly when handling task transitions (which help users decide which ‘route’ they want their workflows to follow).

You can now edit task outcomes as follows:
  • Default outcomes: Target tasks generated from a transition can now be edited, further improving the user experience.
  • Custom outcomes: Users can edit the name of a transition, change the target task, delete an outcome, and more quickly identify routes through improved visibility, all of which increase usability and customization in the workflow editor.

UX improvements in the resources view: We're continuously looking for new ways to make our cloud platform more user-friendly and intuitive. With this release, we've made some significant enhancements to the resources view, making it easier to navigate and find what you need;

As the Trados platform has evolved, the number of resources that need to be supported has grown. We have helped facilitate this growth by combining the key resources into a new unified linguistic resources sub-menu.

Users can now access Translation Engines, Translation Memories, Termbases and NMT models via this menu, streamlining and decluttering the interface.

Additionally, we have introduced location trees, accessible via the filter tab, allowing users to arrange their resources in the order of what's most important to them.

Streamline project creation and keep them running smoothly with better translation collaboration

Project collaboration is at the heart of Trados, and in recent months, we have continued to build upon our collaboration capabilities to ensure seamless communication within our platform.

Customer portal enhancements: Our customer portal is designed to streamline the translation project management process, providing a simple and efficient interface for requestors to create, track and retrieve their projects. To improve this experience further, we have introduced several new customization updates;

User avatar and profile pictures are now fully integrated into the customer portal, enabling users to have a more personalized experience with a visual interface. Plus, we have continued to develop our holiday-themed avatars, allowing users to express their creativity and customize their Trados environment. Our latest avatars include St Patrick’s Day, Easter, and April Fool’s.

  • Save custom layouts automatically, preserving user preferences across sessions.
  • Access to an alternative streamlined interface, providing a less cluttered environment.
