Introducing the Trados portfolio

As you may know, we are the longest-standing translation technology provider and have pioneered how the translation industry has worked for the past 30 years. We are now in a new exciting era, and after becoming the General Manager back in April 2022, I’m proud to lead our cloud-first strategy across our family of products. As with all industries, technology evolves at a rapid pace, so I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce you to Trados.
 
The Trados portfolio offers a range of intelligent translation solutions that help everyone across the global translation supply chain manage their work efficiently. Whether you’re a corporation that needs to support your global business goals through translation management, an LSP seeking better collaboration and higher margins, or a freelance translator looking to boost your productivity, we have a solution for you. 
 

 
At the heart of the portfolio are core capabilities, which feature in each of the offerings at varying levels and enable us to deliver a much more holistic approach. Our connected cloud offerings deliver on your needs now while providing the infrastructure for you to scale up as your business needs change. For example, a move from Trados Team to Trados Accelerate will provide the same underlying platform where resources such as translation memories and users are managed in the same way, but there is an increased level of workflow, project management and reporting capabilities.
 

Let’s take a look at each of the Trados offerings:

  • Studio is our desktop tool with cloud capabilities. It offers individual translators an extensive CAT tool in which they can edit, review, and manage their translation projects.
  • Team is a cloud-based collaboration solution specially designed to transform the way teams work together on translation projects.
  • Accelerate provides out-of-the-box translation management for companies who want to grow internationally – and get there fast.
  • Enterprise is our bespoke translation management solution for organizations with custom requirements.
Our four offerings enable everyone in the supply chain to take advantage of the industry’s leading translation platform! Last but not least, I wanted to talk about how Trados, as the industry backbone, does not sit on its own. It forms part of an ecosystem that connects to apps and partner technologies, for example, media and software localization, adding more functionality to the overall language solution. It also extends its reach by connecting to commercial business and content management systems, driving further automation and streamlining data movement.
 
Our users benefit from the continuous delivery of new innovations and features, with updates being deployed to the platform multiple times a day.
