About Us

The Colegio de Traductores Públicos del Uruguay (CTPU, Uruguayan Association of Sworn Translators) is a not-for-profit professional association. A pioneer in Latin America, it was founded in 1950 and, as such, it is one of the oldest in the region. It is a member of Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs (FIT) and one of the founding members of its Latin American Regional Center (FitLatam).

Vision

Our goals include advocating for the profession, promoting career development through trainings, workshops, seminars and talks, and supporting our members via agreements with public and private institutions.
