About Us

The Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (APTRAD) aims to bring together Portuguese-speaking translators and interpreters and to become a leading professional association, both  in Portugal and abroad. Our goal is to be the preferred source of information on translation and interpreting services for public and private entities, the media, and the general public.

Valuing, giving credibility to, promoting and regulating the translator and interpreter professions in an active and innovative way.

Vision

Contribute to the professional development of APTRAD members, supporting the integration of translation and interpreting students into the labour market, and serve as the main meeting point in the sector.
