About us:

Kyiv Aviation Institute is one of the most powerful aviation-related higher educational facilities in the world, with about 25,000 students enrolled, including nearly 1,500 foreigners from 55 countries. It was founded in 1933 and has changed its name several times since then: Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation (1947), Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation (1965), Kyiv International University of Civil Aviation (1994), National Aviation University (2000). On November 7, 2024 our university restored its historical name: Kyiv Aviation Institute, and acquired the organizational and legal status of a state non-profit enterprise.

The main competitive advantage of the university, both in the Ukrainian and global education market, is its aviation component. The university trains future pilots, operators of unmanned aerial vehicles, ground handlers of aviation equipment and aircraft engines, air traffic controllers and engineers, specialists in on-board equipment and avionics, radio electronics, designers of modern airports, airfields, aviation and logistics experts, specialists in cybersecurity and system diagnostics, environmentalists, economists, lawyers, psychologists, and other specialists.

Translators and interpreters trained by the Department of English Philology and Translation have a strong focus on both the humanitarian and technological aspects of their profession.
