Poltava State Agrarian University (PSAU) is one of the leading higher education institutions in Ukraine that provides training in various fields of scientific knowledge. Founded more than a century ago (105 years ago this year), the university has a solid experience in training highly qualified personnel, successfully combining traditions with innovative approaches to education and science.

The university has modern laboratories, research centres, a library with an electronic collection, and developed international cooperation with European educational institutions. In total, 28 departments carry out educational, scientific, cultural and educational activities at the university.

One of the most important structural units is the Department of Germanic and Ukrainian Philology, which is responsible for training specialists in the field of language communication and translation. Students study professionally oriented disciplines, including Translation of Multidisciplinary Texts, Information Technologies in Translation, and Practical English. The programme combines theoretical and practical training to enable graduates to work in the fields of philology, translation, teaching and international communication.
