About us:

Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University is one of the oldest universities in southern Ukraine; it is a well-known centre of scientific, educational, cultural, and sports life in the city, region, and country. Since May 2022, BK MSPU has been temporarily relocated and now operates on the basis of the Khortytska National Training and Rehabilitation Academy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council. 

BK MSPU is a community of researchers and educators based on innovative ideas and open dialogue. The modern structure of the University comprises 5 faculties. Educators from 19 departments train specialists in the following academic study programs: 45 Bachelor's programs, 44 Master's programs, and 10 PhD programs. All educational programs are accredited by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. Within the University's structure, there are 30 educational, scientific, and research centres and laboratories. 

The total number of students is 2715, which includes 1843 full-time and 872 part-time students. Teaching staff with scientific degrees is represented by 196 employees. The general staff comprises 319 personnel.  

MSPU has a large number of international cooperation agreements which are successfully implemented. Thus, the University currently fulfils the duties according to the memorandums of understanding with higher education institutions in Bulgaria, Georgia, Indonesia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, the USA, France, Turkey, Italy, Germany, and other countries. 

The University's international activities are highly appreciated at the state and international levels. University professors systematically work on submitting applications for participation in various international programs and projects. Currently, the University is implementing 5 ERASMUS+ higher education capacity-building projects and Jean Monnet Modules. 

For over 100 years, BK MSPU has been engaged in a diverse range of activities, including the training of highly qualified specialists, the development of fundamental and applied scientific research, joint international research and educational networks, and active participation in the socio-cultural life of the region and the country.
