About us:

Addis Ababa University (AAU), founded in 1950, is the oldest and largest institution of higher learning and research in Ethiopia. It has long served as the country’s leading center for teaching, research, and community engagement. In recent years, AAU has implemented a range of reform initiatives to respond effectively to rapidly evolving national and global educational landscapes. Currently, the university comprises ten colleges and three institutes that integrate both teaching and research, along with eight additional research-focused institutes. Together, these academic units encompass fifty-five departments, twelve centers, twelve schools and two teaching hospitals.
