What is AI Terminology Extraction (Public Preview)?

AI Terminology Extraction is a new AI feature in Trados that speeds up the creation of high-quality termbases. 

Using a large language model (LLM), it analyzes your source content, identifies key terminology and generates draft entries - which can include definitions, usage examples and other helpful context. This gives terminologists and linguists a strong first draft to validate instead of starting from a blank page. 

You can also fine-tune the extraction by setting parameters such as domain, term length or frequency. Once approved, terms flow directly into your termbase, helping teams maintain consistency, reduce terminology-related errors, and improve translation quality across projects. 

AI Terminology Extraction is available as a Public Preview for Trados Team, Accelerate and Enterprise.
