Can we customize Trados’s AI features for our industry and content?
Absolutely. Trados’s AI capabilities are highly customizable to suit your domain and preferences. You can leverage your in-house translation memory and terminology so that the AI suggestions reflect your industry-specific language. For machine translation, you can leverage Language Weaver, our own neural machine translation, which allows you to train custom MT models on your data for better domain accuracy – securely and confidentially. Your data is purged after training, and the resulting models are private to your organization.
Trados also supports a "bring your own AI" approach. If you have a preferred AI or large language model- such as one from OpenAI or Azure OpenAI - you can integrate it directly into the platform.
In summary, you remain in control: from terminology and tone to the AI engine choice, the system adapts to your business, not the other way around.
