Setting translation tasks for students

Teaching Trados Technology: A Guide for Educators

60-minute webinar

In this webinar, we’ll guide lecturers on how to use Trados Team for teaching translation technology in the classroom. We'll show accepting the invitation to the RWS Community Professors' page and how students can subscribe to the RWS Community Students' page. Lecturers will need to provide their students with the link together with a ‘key’ that we supply for access.

In Trados Team we’ll cover the basics, including tips on set-up: creating a class group, creating a customer, and managing users (creating, editing, and deleting). We’ll also show how to create a translation engine and a project in Trados Team, and how to allocate resources and projects to students. Additionally, we’ll explain how students can accept tasks to work on in the Online Editor or in Trados Studio on the desktop.

The session is designed for RWS Campus professors and lecturers. If you are interested in using this technology as an educator but are not currently an RWS Campus member university, you can find out about joining our program by filling in our web form on this page.

There will be an opportunity to ask your questions at the end of the webinar which will be delivered in English.
