About Us

The DVÜD e. V. represents the interests of professional translators and interpreters in the Federal Republic of Germany. The goal is, among other things, the recognition of both professions, which require the highest level of competence and education, but at the same time are not protected by any conditions. Furthermore, lobbying for the professions should be carried out and education in the economy should take place. Our motto is: Quality in Germany.

Goals

• Bring the professions of translator and interpreter and their importance for Germany as a business location back into the consciousness of German industry and business 
• Deepen the understanding of the achievements and problems of the professions 
• Create more transparency on the market - for clients and contractors 
• Form a network in order to be present as a contact point for both sides 
• Counteract below-average prices
