About us:
UBO's Master's degree in Translation/(Technical) Writing in Brest, France is now in its twelfth year. It has trained over 180 translators and/or technical writers, many of whom are now self-employed. The course strives to keep a balance between instilling a strong academic foundation and applying skills with the extensive participation of professional translators. One of the keys to its success is the so-called "fictitious translation agencies" (agences de traduction fictives) which enable students to learn the tricks of the trade by managing translation projects from A to Z for the non-profit sector.
