What languages are supported by Trados AI features?
For Smart Help, users can ask questions in any UI language supported by the application. Smart Insights is supported in English only.
Our Generative Subtitles feature provides Generative Transcription and Generative Subtitle Translation capabilities.
Trados supports the following languages for Generative Transcription:
Afrikaans, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Kazakh, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Marathi, Maori, Nepali, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Welsh.
Please note: These languages exceed <50% word error rate (WER) which is an industry standard benchmark for speech to text model accuracy. While you can use this technology for languages not listed above, the quality may be low.
For Generative Translation, Smart Review, and Generative Subtitles translation, there is no definitive list of supported languages, as translations are produced with generative technology, not traditional Machine Translation (MT). We expect reasonably good results in all the languages mentioned above.
If you would like to ensure high quality translations, we recommend including linguistic experts in the translation process, who can benefit from all Trados quality assurance capabilities.
