The following features use AI in some way to enhance the capabilities of Trados:

Smart Help (available through Trados Copilot)

• Helps users understand how to best use the software by simply asking questions in natural language. The AI, trained and grounded on product documentation and community blogs, helps with new ways of working easily and efficiently.

Smart Insights (available through Trados Copilot)

• Helps uncover key information and insights about translation projects by simply asking in natural language without the need to navigate complex reports or build them manually.

Generative Translation

• Combine AI with all available resources (translation memory, terminology, machine translation) with custom natural language instructions (to guide the style, tone, gender-bias etc.) to produce a new automatic translation.

Smart Review

• Applies terminology and linguistic review analysis to determine the quality of translations. Grades each translation and provides a clear rationale for problematic translations.

Generative Subtitles

• Add subtitles to video or audio content, by transcribing (speech to text) and translating fully automatically or with human review.

AI Assistant

• Use generative AI in Trados Studio for a multitude of tasks as a translation provider with fully customizable prompts and terminology support.

Content Analysis

• Content submitted for translation is scanned and evaluated to determine the domain, entities, and keywords. This information can help project managers route the content appropriately.

Neural Machine Translation (NMT)

• NMT is a form of AI and Trados supports all the major NMT providers, including our own Language Weaver, as well as Google, DeepL, Microsoft, SYSTRAN and others.

• Accelerates terminology creation by identifying key terms in your source content and proposing context-rich entries for quick validation.
