SDL Trados Virtual Roadshows – join us online this spring

Learn about our upcoming SDL Trados Virtual Roadshow events, and what you stand to gain from joining us for one of these free one-day experiences!

In these challenging times, we are all looking for new and clever ways to be creative and productive. Many face-to-face industry events have been cancelled or postponed and are engaging with audiences via the art of online events!

We are extremely excited and proud to announce our very first SDL Trados Virtual Roadshow Series, which will be delivered online this spring, and we invite you all to join.

This has been an incredibly rewarding and innovative project to work on, with the wide scope of opportunities we can employ to engage global audiences in various languages and time zones making our events accessible to as many of you as possible.

To ensure you get the most out of these sessions, we are encouraging you to engage with us throughout each event via live polling and chat rooms which will run in conjunction with each event. Start thinking about what you would like to ask – technical issues, license support and general queries. Whether you are a freelance translator, educator, language service provider or working for a corporate translation team, we will have the experts online to assist with all your queries.

If you have never attended a live virtual event, or are maybe wondering how our SDL Trados Virtual Roadshows are going to work online then we have the answers...

What is a virtual event?

A virtual event is an online event that involves the interaction of people in a virtual environment rather than a physical location.

Is there a registration fee to attend an SDL Trados Virtual Roadshows?

Not at all - just like all our webinars and face-to-face roadshows, these virtual events are FREE to attend.

Will the programme for the Virtual Roadshow event be the same?

Absolutely – we will have the same packed agenda with exciting visionary content. You won’t miss out on anything.

View the agenda here.

Highlights include: top tips on how to become a terminology ‘superhero’; discover efficient and flexible translation project management tools; we will share our latest Translation Technology Insights research – plus, you will have access to a full afternoon of product training from the SDL Trados experts. Learn about the new features and updates in SDL Trados Studio 2019.

How do I register?

It’s easy - simply go to the registration page and choose your language and date, complete the short form and click on submit. Further information will follow!

Do I need to join for the whole day?

No, you can choose the sessions you wish to attend but we would encourage you to attend the whole event.

The agenda is being made available for everyone with a description of each session and timings. This allows for the participants to choose which sessions they find the most interesting and be able to tune in for those specifically. We would love for everyone to join us for a full day of course, and in order to make it more comfortable we have included a lunch break and short intervals between each session.

What are you most excited about for your first Virtual Roadshow series?

We are really excited to see everything come together, and to be able to reach a wider audience than in our face-to-face roadshow series as we can’t visit every city and country (although we would love to!) We are also incredibly excited to hear the feedback from our participants and for everyone to see what’s new in the world of Trados!

Roadshow attendees will also have the chance to showcase their creative flair with our fun social media competitions that will run throughout the day of each event (check our twitter page for further information on the day of your roadshow). We will also be holding satisfying lunch time yoga sessions so everyone can decompress before our themed training which begins in the afternoon.

Will I be able to ask questions?

Of course! We have done our best to make sure our events are as interactive as possible. We will have live Q&A and a chat room staffed by SDL advisers so you can ask all your specific questions, even if it doesn’t relate to the session!

What languages will you be doing the Roadshows in?

We are hosting six roadshows in five languages; English, Italian, Spanish, German and French.

Why did you decide to take the Roadshows online?

Now more than ever it is imperative that we stay connected with our network, and keep everyone informed on all of our product and industry related updates. We would like to ensure that we keep the momentum going, and still provide our customers with the opportunity to see some familiar faces and hear some familiar voices from the comfort of their own home whilst developing their knowledge and skillset with our products.
