Why have we chosen AWS Frankfurt and AWS Montreal as our hosting locations?
Canada and Germany have some of the strictest data privacy laws worldwide.
Situated in the European Union, Germany is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and was the first EU Member State to adopt a national law implementing it, known as The Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
Canada follows the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) which is generally considered on par with UK and EU regulations.
