What are Generative Subtitles?
Our Generative Subtitles feature enables seamless subtitling and localization of video content directly within the Trados platform.
Leveraging a large language model (LLM), it can perform:
- Generative transcription – Converting spoken dialogue into text, providing a foundation for accurate and readable subtitles.
- Generative subtitle translation – Translating subtitles from one language to another, while automatically applying relevant terminology from your termbases. The LLM also considers your translation memories for additional context, helping to ensure consistency with your established tone of voice.
To ensure translation quality, you can also include an expert reviewer in the translation process. Using our in-context preview feature available in the online editor, they can see how the subtitles align with the video and make further refinements. Once you have completed the translation process, you can export SRT files in your target languages which can then be used to subtitle your videos. Please note: the subtitles will not automatically be burnt into your video as part of this process.
By managing your video localization needs within Trados, you can streamline the entire process by integrating it with your existing translation workflows. This includes utilizing current connectors, reporting, and automation capabilities, simplifying your tech stack, and minimizing the need for additional tools.
