We’re excited to share our latest round of updates to Trados GroupShare, bringing teams greater visibility, security, and automation across their localization workflows.

No matter your focus - whether it's scaling users or optimizing workflows - this release offers valuable improvements for everyone. Here’s a closer look at some of the standout enhancements:

Meet the new Admin Center - full visibility, zero guesswork

The Admin Center is the headline feature of this release, and for good reason. For the first time, Trados GroupShare administrators can gain detailed, real-time visibility into how users interact with the system and its connected client tools, all from a dedicated, browser-based interface.

With the Admin Center, you can:
  • Monitor user activity across the system.
  • See which tools and clients (like Trados Studio) are in use.
  • Track access patterns to ensure secure and compliant usage.
The Admin Center introduces a more proactive way of managing GroupShare environments, empowering IT and localization leads with deeper insights into platform usage, helping them spot potential bottlenecks, and support internal auditing and optimization efforts.

Better with Language Weaver - full support for MTQE

Another major enhancement is full support for Machine Translation Quality Estimation (MTQE) powered by Language Weaver. This integration enables a more intelligent, automated approach to translation, reducing human effort without compromising on quality.

With GroupShare, you can now:
  • Apply automated translation using Language Weaver’s neural MT models, with full support for their newest generative and quality estimation models.
  • Receive quality estimation (QE) scores for each segment, helping you focus human review and editing on the content that needs it.
  • Automatically lock high-quality translations based on your defined QE thresholds.
  • Generate reports that show MT and QE performance side by side.
By filtering out “good enough” segments and surfacing only those that fall below the quality threshold, MTQE offers a measurable, scalable way to boost productivity while maintaining quality control.

Importantly, by adding support for MTQE in GroupShare, we’ve also unlocked the ability to integrate Language Weaver’s automatic post-editing. This advanced capability combines neural MT, quality estimation, and a private LLM to intelligently refine translations in real time - dramatically improving translation quality, increasing scalability, and reducing reliance on human intervention. Boosted security with two-factor authentication (2FA)

Data protection and access security are critical, especially in globally distributed teams. GroupShare now supports two-factor authentication, providing an extra layer of security for user accounts. Combined with enhanced Windows Authentication support and OAuth2 improvements, the release helps ensure that only the right people have access, at the right time.

Enhanced transparency and stability

This GroupShare release introduces a suite of enhancements designed to boost both transparency and project stability, including:
  • Improved SDLXLIFF analysis with more accurate handling of internal fuzzy matches -giving project managers sharper insights into project performance.
  • Smarter file versioning when updating projects mid-cycle, reducing the risk of errors when files are changed after a project has already started.
  • Stricter file validation to prevent issues with invalid filenames or empty files, giving project managers greater confidence in file integrity from the start.

Infrastructure upgrade - moving to .NET 8

Behind the scenes, GroupShare services have been upgraded to .NET 8, providing better performance, security, and future readiness. This update ensures that the platform remains aligned with Microsoft’s modern technology stack and benefits from improved long-term support.

Built on Your Feedback

Many of these features were developed directly in response to customer input. From the Admin Center to MTQE integration and enhanced permission controls, this release reflects what real users have asked for, and what their workflows demand.

A huge thank-you goes out to our development team for their focus and dedication, and to all the GroupShare users who continue to share ideas, feedback, and real-world challenges with us.
