I am a linguist specialising in language documentation and description. My PhD research focused on Tena Kichwa, a variety of Amazonian Kichwa (Quechuan IIB) spoken in the Napo province of Ecuador. My thesis consisted of a sketch grammar of the language, and the description of its epistemic discourse markers as used in spoken Kichwa discourse. I have been trained in linguistics at SOAS, where I have done an MA in Language Documentation and Description, followed by a PhD in Linguistics. I have graduated in 2017, and am now a research associate at the Linguistics Department at SOAS.
